West Michigan Winter Fishing Report:

Cold temps have the bite slowing down a bit, but there’s still solid action for anglers willing to bundle up. Steelhead are holding in the deeper winter pools, with brighter beads and spawn bags getting the most hits. Inland lakes are seeing early ice in some areas, but conditions vary, so use caution and check thickness before heading out. Walleye and perch are active during low-light windows, especially at dawn and dusk. Overall, winter patterns are setting in and the bite is steady if you target the right depths and stay mobile.
